Teachers Mass 2026

On Thursday afternoon, we were deeply blessed to gather as educators and staff serving in Catholic education for the celebration of the Teachers' Mass at Immaculate Conception Parish, Parow.

The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Sylvester David OMI, with the valued support of our Vicar for Education and Chair of the Catholic Board of Education, Fr Shaun Addinall, Deacon Rodney, and our school chaplains and assistant priests. We are especially grateful to the Holy Cross schools of Bellville, Brooklyn, and Maitland for their warm hospitality and generous hosting.

As we begin this new academic year, we pray that our theme, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” may be lived out in our staff rooms, classrooms, and daily interactions—shaping our schools as places of faith, hope, and compassion.
